One of the smaller additions to my fall collection is a pair of cute, modern house-themed mini quilts. I loved the idea of playing around with the super simple, but super recognizable shape, and playing the modern design off the rustic linen. The navy binding makes the mini look framed!
Each mini is about 14x16", perfect for hanging on the wall or using as a small mat for snacks or displaying hot dishes, desserts, you name it! I know I missed the boat for our friends north of the border, but for American Thanksgiving celebrations, this would be a really adorable hostess gift, especially wrapped around a freshly-baked loaf of bread.
I'm considering making it in a couple different colors, but my linen stash is running low and I haven't been able to push it out of my head yet. Maybe grellow on cream with a little bit of linen binding, or cream on a pumpkin-y gold? So many possibilities!
For the quilters, I AM planning on releasing a pattern for this in a few different sizes! It would be super translatable to Christmas or any decorating or gift-giving occasion in different color palettes, and I'd love to see it as a simple bedspread or picnic quilt. Stay tuned!
