Open for Business!

Open for Business!

It's been hinted at a few times on here, but I haven't actually come out and announced that I opened an Etsy store! You can check me out at KHQuiltsStudio if you have ever been or find yourself interested in buying one of my quilts!

Business cards means it's really real, right? I couldn't resist using this picture from Iceland <3 See below for how to get your own!

I first started seriously thinking about it after my quilt show in September. Even though it was far from a cohesive collection of anything, I got a lot of really positive feedback from people, and a few small purchases. I found myself afterwards with a bunch of finished quilts (hilarious that that is unusual, right?) and a bit of extra time on my hands. I started playing around and sort of, accidentally, ended up with a small fall-appropriate collection of textiles. With a little time to finally monkey around on here and in Etsy, I decided that now was as good a time as any to make the leap.

The store, like the blog, is definitely a work in progress. Who knew writing, picture-taking, picture-editing, pattern drafting, and all that took so much time!? I'm really excited to continue to develop this creative outlet though, and my husband is happy that we'll hopefully be a few quilts lighter...

I am truly enjoying the opportunity to design and make things that I don't necessarily have to fit into some function or space in my house (baby quilts, anyone?), and I'm excited to share my first, still-growing collection. Here's a sneak peek (some are already listed in the shop and linked from my portfolio as well!), but stay tuned- I'm going to be sharing each piece on the blog this week along with some fun extras!

A quick note on business cards- I searched FOREVER to find a company that let me use my imagery and create a double-sided card, and out of Minted, Shutterfly, Vistaprint, etc. the company that absolutely nailed it for me was MOO. The process was super easy, their shipping was super fast, and I'm thrilled with my cards. I'm not in anyway affiliated or sponsored by them (just love my cards!), but if you are interested in printing your own, using this link will save you 20% on your order (and save me some too!).
